We Feel You, TherapyNotes.

June 28, 2017

This week, TherapyNotes was hacked - their servers and software went down immediately. According to the company, hackers gained access to one of their servers and installed a virus that gained full access to their network, workstations and more.

"And more" is a major point to note; this means that patient information, including credit card information, personal notes and detailed insights could be obtained by such hackers. A significant risk not only to TherapyNotes as a company, but to users of their software.

We feel you, TherapyNotes. It sucks. A business crisis is never enjoyable, and it's not something we would ever wish on anyone.

Emails have poured in: "Therasoft would this ever happen to you?" To our valued Therasoft customers, we've heard your questions and concerns over this last week.

And the answer is - we're protected. We protect our users and we practice the highest level of security on our platform. We provide secure data storage with access through SSL Certificate and fingerprint technology. All communication between the user and our servers is secured using encrypted protocols. We take your data seriously, and it's something that is always - and will always be - a priority for our business.

To users of TherapyNotes, we feel you, too. During the TherapyNotes outage, we would like to offer TherapyNotes customers free access to our practice management software for therapists.
